Hello Dancers, I hope this blog post finds you healthy and well.
We are happy and thrilled to update you on re-opening and are excited to dance with you again! First, we want to thank you for your patience and co-operation during this time.
We know you love dancing and we cannot wait to dance with you face to face soon. We want to first let you know all the different platforms we are implementing to continue to dance and socialize with you.
Our online dance platforms are growing each day. Along with our LIVE stream classes each Saturday at 10am, we are also hosting various workshops, group classes, and private lessons online to ensure that our students are given the opportunity to dance in the comfort of their own homes and available schedules.
How Does it Work?
According to the guidelines for the state of Wisconsin, we must eliminate unnecessary physical contact between staff and visitors, and maintain social distancing with six-foot distance between individuals when possible (p.4).
As of now, COVID-19 is still active and affecting many individuals lives. As Ballroom and Latin dancing involves constant physical contact, we feel that it would be best for us to stay closed until the beginning of July, 2020.
This decision was very difficult as we are eager to see all of our students again. However, we feel that ensuring the health of our students and instructors were more important at this moment. As the COVID-19 virus subsides and more solutions for this virus come out, we believe we will open our studio with more confidence and assurance.
Meanwhile, we will keep on dancing and connecting with one another as a family. Starting in June, we will start up all the workshops, classes, and services on our virtual platform; bringing our favorite classes and missed instruction back into life.
Even after we re-open our studio's door, we hope to continue our online teaching to ensure all dancers from around the world can join GBB dance community online.
Remember the saying that goes:
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning how to dance in the rain.
Continue dancing through the storm and before you know it, we will come together with big hugs and smiles on our faces dancing our nights away~ Until then, why not socialize, dance, and have fun as a dance family at the comfort of our own homes?
